For more than 45 years we have successfully developed, manufactured and distributed quality products, while simultaneously offering reliable services. Histotechnology

In its medical focus field histotechnology pfm medical develops, manufactures and distributes microtomes and laboratory equipment for use in histology and pathology. Thanks to our special business model we cover the entire value chain from the idea for a product and its development all the way to production and distribution. This helps us ensure the implementation of our high quality standards in every area.

Developed with users for users

Our products are the result of continuous further development – always in close collaboration with users. They are equipped with numerous functions to ensure safe handling and convince our customers all over the world for more than two decades with state-of-the-art technology, simple operation as well as the highest examination and analysis standard.

Training

Our recognised product and service training offers are an important part of quality assurance; they allow the user to minimise the risks and to keep errors to the absolute minimum. The users in the laboratory benefit from extensive product training by our in-house distribution team. We also apply the same high-quality standard for our international network of distributors. Even our distributors complete intensive product and service training, which puts them into the position to guide their customers to safe and efficient operation of the devices.

Technical service

Device maintenance as well as any repairs are done directly by us as the manufacturer, by our distribution partners or by selected local service partners. This ensures fast and reliable local assistance.

The Japanese manufacturer FEATHER® is a specialist in the production of medical blades. Since 1973 we have been the exclusive European distributor for the surgical and histological products of FEATHER®. Especially our customers benefit from this trust-based collaboration. This is because we pursue a permanent exchange of knowledge right from the start, which results in the development of countless innovations and unprecedented quality. This is how pfm medical microtomes, in combination with FEATHER® microtome blades, offers the outstanding cutting precision for consistently reliable results.

Quality and experience made in Germany – for precise and reliable results

For many decades, the pfm medical group has been an experienced and innovative provider of medical technology. With pfm medical tec gmbh in Dielheim near Heidelberg, pfm medical now has yet another production site in Germany. At this site, we produce the microtomes and laboratory equipment developed by us. This allows us to carry out every production step according to our standard of quality. For example, each of the roughly 5,000 parts used to manufacture one microtome is carefully selected. Precision down to the smallest detail – for reliable results in histology and pathology.
